About the data

  • This site is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by any state lottery. All data is collected from publicly available pages and APIs on official state lottery websites.
  • Lottery data may be delayed, incomplete, or estimated. States update remaining-prize figures on their own schedules; prizes are claimed continuously; and print runs are approximate. Numbers here can lag reality by days.
  • Expected returns are statistical estimates built on assumptions. They are not predictions of what any ticket will pay.
  • Where a state does not publish enough data, we mark the return as not available rather than estimate beyond what the data supports.
  • Always verify game status and prizes with the official state lottery before purchasing. Games can close, and top prizes can be claimed, at any time.

Gambling notice

  • Lottery games are a form of gambling and in nearly all cases have a negative expected return: on average, players lose money on every ticket. A “high return” ranking means a game is expected to lose you less, not make you money.
  • This site provides information and analysis only. It is not financial or gambling advice.
  • You must be 18 or older (21+ in some jurisdictions) to purchase lottery tickets.
